  "I first met Adianna in March of 2010. I rented part of a Sim and Adi was my neighbor. When I was introduced to her I had already known her by reputation. I had heard that she was an extremely talented Second Life Photographer.
  
  That March I was going through a serious crisis of Identity. My health had changed; I was forced to stop working. I was diagnosed with a rather bizarre illness that I still have trouble accepting.
  
  Adi has always treated me with kindness and respect.
  
  But most important is that she saw what was good in my early efforts and mentored me.
  
  I have never understood envy. I saw it among writers when I was writing. I watched successful writers use their power to impede the progress of new writers for no other reason than envy and spite.
  
  The world is rife with people who will not take responsibility for their character flaws and who feel entitled to make everyone around them suffer.
  
  We all have insecurities, feelings of envy, moments of grandiosity and times when we have said and done things that we regret. Selfishness and envy are two aspects of human nature that we are supposed to have learned to control when we reach adulthood.
  
  The exceptional person is one who accepts her strengths and her weaknesses and who takes responsibility for her actions. I have watched Adi struggle to do what is right even when it would have been much easier for her to sit silently and do nothing. But most important, I have experienced her generosity of spirit. She was a light for me when I felt that I had lost everything. And if I have progressed as an artist it is because Adi was there at the beginning to show me what was good.
  
  You have been a real friend Adianna. The mark of a real friend is not perfection. It a willingness to try to be the best person you can be in that moment.
