heart beat girl says:
"I think it is quite hard to describe what her work is about. Well, let's try to say what it's not.
She's not one of those girls who shoot selfies just to show the world how gorgeous they are. Or if she does for this purpose, at least no one notices - although she is a beautiful young lady. Because her self-portraits are so true, so authentic, so bursting with (lack of) emotions.
She needs no sharp focus to create photos that feel incredibly real, deep and intriguing. And neither a special equipment. Nature is her studio, street lamps all she needs for illuminating.
She does not give many explanations. That's because she doesn't need to. One of the things that I love most about her photography is its ambiguity. By the lyrics she seems to add so haphazardly, one can try to get an idea of what's going on or what she was thinking when she took a photo. Still, it's only a fragment, only a sparkle that can guide you to your very own associations if you let it.

Well. chris+ina is a very special photographer for me, because unlike many people of her age and experience in shooting, she has a style already. She paints with color, lights and expression. Looking at her stream gives me a feeling of dreamy peace, because it's like a constantly unfolding portfolio of her life, her thoughts and feelings, all so elusive and light.
Keep dreaming with eyes open and the camera lens aimed at you, even though your work doesn't always get all the attention it deserves!
A hug :)

"Christina has the best lighting on Flickr. Hands down. No one can argue. It's true. She uses MOONLIGHT as lighting. Who can do that?!
But, seriously, Christina's photostream is awesome and amazing in every way (especially the lighting - wink wink) and I totally love her for it. Inspiration always hits me when I flip through Christina's photostream, and that's definitely something amazing to me. =]"5th September, 2009
