Started out with a Powershot, and now have a Nikon D70.
I also like to shoot film using a Nikon FG, FE, EM and N90, as well as some nice '70s rangefinders.
I like both, I'm afraid, and find the whole "Film vs Digital" argument a bit silly.

I'm addicted to '70s rangefinders, and have a Minolta A5, Hi-Matic F and Hi-Matic 7S, Canon Canonet QL19, Canonet QL19 GIII, Vivitar 35ES, 2 dead Yashica Electros and a Ricoh 500 G. My medium format on a budget requirement is satisfied by a rather nice Agfa Isolette I, and a Halina A1 TLR.

Main preoccupations are architecture and urban landscape. I'd like to do more portraiture and street shooting, but I'm not that good at it.

Unfortunately my time for photography is non existent these days, and flickr is more of a place holder for blog snaps. If you want to see the work I'm proud of, look back 3 pages or more, or view my Black & White film work.

Look at the exif or tags to see which camera took which shot.

    Richard Holden says:

"John the Monkey is one of the most helpful people you could possibly hope to encounter on Flickr. As well as taking wonderful photographs himself, he's always more than willing to offer advice and insightful comments on work much inferior to his own, and to make a novice feel like what he's doing is in some way worthwhile."

    Hywel Teague says:

"John is probably one of the most helpful people I have met on Flikr or any other website - his photographic knowledge is first class and more importantly his images are always worth a look.

    Kudos to him."
