I was originally inspired to take up photography to create a record of the many places in Cornwall where I walk. I like to attempt to capture the essence of a place from my perspective, including the very picturesque and the more mundane. My primary goal has become the conveyance of mood and I'm particularly drawn to images that have a 'memory-like' quality about them. I have fun with my photography and try to resist the urge to strive for technical 'perfection' or over-analyse compositional elements (because I would never be satisfied!)

I'm trying to broaden the scope of my photography, which will hopefully be reflected in my stream. I've also replaced some of my older images.

It's wonderful having contacts with such diverse styles and subject material. In order to keep my contact list manageable, I'm now removing contacts that have been inactive or completely 'silent' for a long time (although I'd be pleased to add them back if contact resumed).

Please note that If someone now adds me as a new contact but has never commented on my work, I'm unlikely to immediately add them back.
