Founded in 1927, the Honolulu Academy of Arts is Hawai‘i’s largest private presenter of visual arts programs. The encyclopedic art museum has a permanent collection of more than 50,000 works of art and is the only art museum in Hawai‘i accredited by the American Association of Museums. With film and concert programs, lectures, art classes and workshops rounding out the museum’s offerings, the Honolulu Academy of Arts is the city’s cultural hub.
