I am a self employed nurseryman and gardener and occasional garden designer/landscaper.

These are the latest of a number of careers which included medical records officer in a large District General Hospital in the National Health service, Citizens Advice Bureau Manager at a maximum security jail , transport organiser for the elderly , house builder , house renovator and double glazing salesman( done when I was broke and desperate!)

I suspect my latest careers will be my last as I'm very happy with my current occupations( except in wet weather when I'm like a bear with a sore head!)

I have enjoyed occasional photography for over 30 years and since purchasing a digital camera in early 2006 my interest has blossomed.

At the moment I enjoy photographing flowers all of which are in my own or my customers gardens. I particularly like those photos of flowers with insects and find the detailing in their bodies fascinating. The vast majority of my photos have not been manipulated in any way and are just as they were originally shot.(Occasionally I do crop a photo but this will be stated)

I really appreciate any comments you make on my photos and try to respond when required. It can be hard keeping up with contacts so if i miss you please accept my apologies in advance.
