I bought my first SLR (a Minolta SRT101) in the late sixties, learned the Zone System from Fred Picker's book, processed my B&W film at home, and have been clicking away ever since.

I'm currently fighting a losing battle at keeping up with the images I capture, but I'd rather be out in the field takin' pics than processing them. At present I'm working on uploading images from recent work while simultaneously trying to catch up with my backlog! I’ll eventually catch up, but that will probably have to wait until I can no longer be out in the field haulin’ around 20 – 30 pounds of gear (unless I can find a mule).
I also have digital images dating back to 2001 captured on Canon’s first DSLR (the 3 mega pixel 30D), not to mention negative files that go back another 20 to 30 years. I also have a couple thousand raw B&W negative scans from my father’s time in Europe during WWII (posted in Shorty's Europe), where he was an Army photographer for a short time after the hostilities ended. So there is indeed no end in sight! :{(

I'm also currently a moderator for the Sandy Hook, New Jersey, and Just Ducks groups, as well as several groups I’ve created named Cape May Wildlife and Bird's Eye View (Bird's Eyes). Feel free to join if you have wildlife images from Cape May County, New Jersey, or bird close-ups where the focus is on the EYE.

At present my main interest is wildlife photography (mostly birds & bugs with a little landscape thrown in), and my favorite spots are The Great Swamp (base camp), Brigantine Salt Marsh, Cape May, and Sandy Hook.
Feel free to say "Hi" if you see me in the field.
I'm the guy with the Tilley hat and the 12 pound lens.

All my images are tagged with KH0831, so if you would like to see the ones Flickr defines as "Most Interesting", you can search "Everyones Uploads" for "KH0831" and click on "Most interesting".
They're not necessarily in my order of preference, but it's a way to see what others seem to like.
