Hi, I'm married and the father of 3 teens/20. I've been interested in photography most of my life, going all the way back to 1975 when I bought my first camera, a Kodak X15. IN 1978 I moved up to my first SLR, by trading a seldom used electric guitar for a used Mamiya MSX 500 with a Tamron 35-135mm zoom. It was a fully manual camera so I learned a fair bit about photography using it. Unfortunately It was stolen when my home was broken into in 1999. I replaced it with a Minolta X700 with a 28-70mm zoom with macro and a 70-210mm zoom. I got my first digital camera in 2005 when I got a Nikon Coolpix 4100. With it I realized the benefits of digital photography, but I missed the flexibility of an SLR. I finally made the big jump to DSLR in January 2007 with the purchase of a Nikon D70s with the 18-55mm kit lens. Thats when I really started to learn alot about photography. I've since added the Nikkor 70-300mm VR zoom.

I love to photograph all kinds of things, form birds to landscapes to my kids sports to cars, nature as well as decay, whether it be vehicles or buildings or what ever. Joining Flickr has been a great motivator to just get out there and get clicking!
