I love all things crafty, especially if that involves thread and fabric. Any kind of thread, any kind of fabric!

I am married and I've got a young son (16 months old as I type this profile).
We live in a small London flat that we share with the fabrics I stock for my business.
When I'm not playing with fabrics, I am also a knitter - I do knitting patterns technical edition as a freelance. I often work for 2 of the biggest knitting magazines in the UK. I also do sample knitting for these magazines, but also for independent designer.
I am just starting writing my own knitting patterns and I also design my own quilts whenever I can (although, I am inspired by other modern quilters!)

My favourite fabric designers are Kate Spain and MoMo.
My favourite colour combinations are green and pink, but I also love red and white and red and grey. Really, the only colour I truly dislike is brown!
I love dots and spots - I always find myself ordering some!

I am not too fond of Kaffee Fassett, Amy Butler or dare I say it Ana Maria Horner. There are some prints of these designers that I like, but I wouldn't like a whole quilt made just with fabrics from them.

I love bright and modern fabrics. I don't like batiks, civil war reproduction. I also don't like vintage prints (such as 70's bed sheet).
I like a little bit of Kawaii, but as I am the only girly in this household, it's got to be somewhat limited!

I don't mind traditional piecing / quilting as long as the fabrics are fresh and bright!
I am just starting to explore improv' piecing even if I'm not too fond of wonky blocks (I really dislike wonky log cabins!). Drunk love is more my style!

I would very much like some of Denyse Schmidt new fabrics for Joanns so if there is something you would like from the UK, I'd be happy to swap! :)
