Stedelijk Museum's photostream

Met Stedelijk in de Stad toert het Stedelijk Museum door Amsterdam en telt het af naar de heropening aan het Museumplein, naar verwachting begin 2010.

Tot die tijd presenteert het Stedelijk enkele grote tentoonstellingen bij collega-instellingen, puttend uit de rijke collectie van het Stedelijk. Daarnaast verschijnt het met hedendaagse kunst op onverwachte locaties in de stad, aangevuld met (inter)actieve projecten.

Of je nu veel weet van kunst of juist heel weinig, of je het Stedelijk nu al kent of niet - Stedelijk in de Stad is dé kans om kunst te ontmoeten, je mening te geven, alles te vragen wat je altijd al wilde weten en mee te doen aan workshops.

From October 2008 to April 2010

The Stedelijk Museum closed? Not at all! After leaving the Post CS-building on 01.10.08, the museum is organising exhibitions, projects, workshops and other activities throughout Amsterdam. Stedelijk Goes to Town is a count-down to the grand re-opening on the Museumplein. What’s on the programme? For the rest of 2008 and 2009, items from the Stedelijk’s superb collection will be on show in major exhibitions elsewhere in Amsterdam.

At the same time, the Stedelijk will be taking contemporary art plus interactive and other projects to unexpected venues in and around the city. Whether you’re an art connoisseur or a complete novice, familiar with the Stedelijk or not, Stedelijk Goes to Town is your best chance ever to experience art, say what you think, find out everything you always wanted to know and take part in workshops.
