McAlister's photostream  

I got a new camera in December 2008 and have been learning how to use it since then. I have become slightly obsessed with the whole process of photography and gradually my kit bag is getting bigger and heavier...

So far it's been mostly about learning the ropes, but henceforth I aim to be more adventurous - more textures, better light, some butterflies and bird cages, less over-exposure, more shabby chic romance, some portraits (ye gads!), and much more in the way of (predominantly fake) vintage and retro.

I want to keep my Photostream manageable, so will periodically and arbitrarily cull. I'm quite sure nobody will even notice let alone yearn for the departed.

Please feel free to comment or make critical suggestions - it's the best way to learn. I much prefer a short comment to a generic invitation. I always try to visit your stream if you visit mine.
