Palmetto Riflemen & New York Zouaves' photostream

The members of the re-activated Palmetto Sharpshooters & 17th New York Veteran Volunteer Infantry Regiments' represent the men of the original units who fought in the American Civil War from 1861 to 1865 across the States of Tennessee, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, North and South Carolinas, Virginia, Maryland, & Pennsylvania.

The present members of unit are a a group of men, mostly from the States of South Carolina and Georgia who participate in Local and National Living Histories and Reenactments. The members of the Unit are drilled in the proper Infantry Tactics and formations of the timeperiod.

While our primary impression is that of Confederate Skirmishers & Federal Army Zouaves, we do welcome Reulgation Uniforms for those interested, and ourselves portray the Soldiers of various Regular & Volunteer Units when needed at events where the 17th Veterans or Palmetto Sharpshooters were not present themselves.
