Comics in Norway?
Sure thing! In Norway comics are an important part of popular culture. Every supermarket, kiosk, gas-station and newsstand provides at least fifteen weekly or monthly comics. The most popular one, Disney's "Donald Duck & Co" are read by 25 % of the population every week!

For more than ten years we have had the pleasure of hosting a great number of artists. Every one from Will Eisner to the local creator Lars Lauvik have held the stage and mesmerized their audience with captivating stories. We've also listened to Mr. Eisners advice and are providing a shop talk where artists meet in private.

Raptus is not only hard work for the creators and arrangers. The night before the festival opens we have a traditional "draw for drink"-bash at one of the local pubs, and the festival banquet is a winner in social terms.

Raptus is staged by a group of about sixty volunteers.
