John Anderson has worked as a photographer in the alternative press starting in 1988 with the Washington City Paper in Washington D.C. In 1989 he studied with Magnum documentary photographer, Eugene Richards and later graduated from the University of Texas with a BA in photojournalism. He is currently a staff photographer with the Austin Chronicle in Austin TX and is a regular contributor to the Houston Press and Dallas Observer. His work has also appeared in New York Times Magazine, People, USA Today, London Times, Spin, and Salon.com among others. Clients include Getty Images, The University of Texas, Harvard and Enspire Learning.
