Hi, thanks for checking out my profile. I'm an aspiring photographer interested in travel, science, mountaineering, my wife and drinking beer. Not necessarily in that order.

I've been taking pics for around 4 years now, but about 3 of the years more seriously than others. I would categorize myself as "advanced amateur" and am just enjoying the hobby now, but often wonder if I could find a way to spend more time taking photos.

I'm primarily interested in travel photography, mainly because my wife and I travel a great deal and enjoy taking pictures of the places we've been. I recently also completed the 365 project and really found it an inspiring way to improve my photography and to document my life.

I'm open to any and all constructive criticism and comments, Please ask me if you'd like to use any of my photos, I just like to know when they're being used.

Addendum:

I've recently begun work on creating a blog (or rather re-starting a blog). The premise is around "Travel photography for the uninitiated" - simply meaning those of you who recently bought a new DSLR and are looking for places to go to take some basic pictures, along with some high level tutorials on things like basic photography, HDR, panorama's, etc. It's a work in progress but please feel free to stop by and check it out!
