It all began as I was a young lad (a younger lad, anyway) in my first year of secondary school. I was growing up on Manitoulin Island in a little village named Kagawong in northern Ontario.

My father purchased for me my very first camera. I was astounded by this magnificent gadget! I had been pretty tech-savvy in terms of computers since a fairly young age, but a camera!? Wow.

I brought it with me everywhere! To school, to gatherings of friends, on spontaneous nature walks, and in my own back-yard.

A few 8x10s and a couple of photos entered in local small-town galleries/competitions later and I decided I'd like to pursue this little hobby of mine further. After all, nothing before in my life had truly resonated such a calming peace within me.

Years have passed and I've wound up in this bustling city known as Toronto.
