I started with everything to do with computers from a very young age, I think me and my family got a computer from when I was about five years old. It was an awful machine, compared to what we have today. As soon as I used “Paint” program, I instantly knew I loved art. So that’s where I started. In the year of 2000, that’s when I was introduced to The Sims, by a good friend; and, like many people, I became addicted to it. It was so useful to express my creativity: Architecture, fashion, photography, landscaping, story plot. I had never been so spoilt for choice. So you could say I was drawn into everything I love from a computer game and yes I would agree with some people if they ever told me that that was a stupid thing – Inspiration from a game. But the point is, is that whatever inspiration any of us get, as long as we love it, we should respect wherever we got it from.
Anyway, as the computer generation got younger and more advanced, you could say that I instinctively got better at what I did after years of computing, both games and photo editing, that’s when I found out about Photoshop - the best tool I’ve ever come to know. I used it so much, I guess it was easy to say that I was forgetting about the life outside of this virtual luxury, and yes, I know that it’s an irritating habit – it all keeps me away from reality. However, I use the skills I have to improve my real life. So far I am in an art course that I love. I’m meeting great people and at the same time enjoying what tasks are thrown at me, knowing that I can use the skills I have gained over the years to accomplish them.
The Sims 2 was the next step into this fantasy. Like the original, but ten times better. I had the freedom to achieve so much more. Not only did it suffice as the number one best selling PC game that was an enjoyment to play, it was a door into a world that I could mould to suit everything I ever wanted. Now the discovery of Flickr has even given me the chance to show off what I create, and for that I’m grateful.
Yes I admit that what I love is obviously my weakness, and that it’s held me back from my real life, but to know this, only makes our real life more appreciative.

"Oh wow, I never realized I'm going to be the first to give you a testimonial! ^____^

DarkSplendour is not only my Flickr buddy. He's also my Spore buddy, though I hope he forgives me because I don't have time for Spore lately. XD I got stuck in Tribal stage.

Seriously, I came across his works on one of my Flickr photo groups. Then I started to notice that most of his works has this quiet sense of nostalgia...Described in his beautiful Sims 2 photography. Something I'm looking for in every aspiring Sims 2 photo artist... I love his works and he's a very nice guy, I tell you. He's cool and fun to talk with, and always open to ideas! I've never seen such a happy Sims 2 group in Flickr but the one he started 'Dark SIms 2.' And I'm very thankful to him for trusting me to become a mod. ^___^

He always make me smile with his comments and not until recently did I discover that Sims 2 story-writing and photography are not his only forte. He's a good digital artist too. ^_^ I hardly comment on those kinds of Sims 2 Art but he made me say 'Ahhh, I'm so impressed!'

Well, what more I can say? You rock, Darky, and I'm so happy I get to know you in our little Sims 2 community! Keep up the great work!

    Hugs,
    Tictic"
