Family man.

Primary Use :-
I'm primarilly using flickr to host my photo's for my walks diary weblog [ tothehills.wordpress.com ]. My earliest uploads were compressed to save size/space ... This worked fine for illustration purposes in my blog but I didn't like the quality when viewing in Flickr, so I very soon stopped compressing, with improved results.

Licensing for Outside Use :-
I've had various requests from outside people to use some of my images. I'm generally acceptant of this (it's a nice to think an image is thought good enough to be used), however, where these requests are from commercial organisations or businesses I feel there ought to be some recompense to me. The majority of pictures on my photostream are of reasonably high quality JPEGs and if deemed of high enough quality, please do not hesitate to contact me with full details of your request for a very competitive quotation.

Equipment :-
Earliest photos were taken with a Samsung Digimax compact (still used occasionally), but I've now bought a Pentax K200D DSLR in an attempt to improve my pic's and photo taking, one day maybe I'll progress past the kit lens and auto settings. Why the Pentax ... Robust and best waterproofing (for the cost) for my outdoors stuff and reasonable write-ups on performance including in-body shake reduction.

Flickr Organisation and links to my Blog Site :-
I'm currently trying to "get organised" by creating sets and collections that kind of loosley mirror my walks diary posts and categories in my blog [ tothehills.wordpress.com/ ] and I'm adding some links to navigate from the flickr sets to the wordy bits on wordpress as I go ... hope it works!
