I have always had an interest in learning about and performing all sorts of music, especially tradional folk music of my own American mountain tradition, and that of Ireland.
After the loss of a baby in 1971, I distracted myself with studying photography and got a pretty good camera, soon after. First was the Zeiss-Ikon Ikoflex, then a little Petri Racer rangefinder, then a beat-up Nikon F1, then a Nikkormat FT, then a Minolta Maxxum XTsi and now a Maxxum 5D.
