The Real Food Challenge (RFC) is a national, student-driven campaign to reshape our food economy. We are a network of students and youth at schools across the country, advocating for "real food" on our campuses and in our communities.

The RFC's flagship goal to shift $1 billion of college food spending to "real food"--food that is community-based, fair, ecologically sound and humane. We work as student activists around the country to get our cafeterias, school administrations and food service companies to institute real food policies, committing to at least 20% real food purchases by 2020.

While this is our rallying point students in the real food network also work on a variety of other creative forms of activism--from developing educational farms and gardens on campus, to supporting community-based food security efforts, and solidarity work with farmworkers and farmers abroad.

Join the movement--take the challenge!
