Hello? Is this thing on?

Amateur with a Canon Powershot A650IS and some lenses and filters. I've also got an underwater housing and have taken a few shots under-da-sea (thats where we'll be..you babe and me dan dan dan dan) of some scary looking raggies, a shy paper fish and several sea monsters. It so happens that they lurk right below my favorite break on the south coast of South Africa (Aliwal Shoal) and now I'm a little tentative about going for a surf during changing light, which happens to be feeding time for some of these critters.

Flickr's cool and the people who play here are awesome. It's like everyone's celebrating life in one way or another through capturing light and how it reflects off stuff...I like celebration.

I love the variety of life on this planet. It so happens that my work takes me traveling often and so I get to appreciate that variety!
