I first became interested in geology as a child. I remember finding ammonites at Lyme Regis and going down the caves at Castleton with my Dad. I found it amazing that you could look into the lives of plants and animals from millions of years ago.

I was appointed Curator of Palaeontology at The Manchester Museum in 2005.

My job includes: documenting the collection, developing exhibitions, developing education sessions, facilitating research, working on joint projects with the university and providing access to the collection.

I still find geology really exciting and enjoy using the amazing collection at The Manchester Museum to inspire people to find out about the world we live in.
