Thank you for visiting my photostream
I have to say I am blown away by the quality of the work of my contacts! Thank you for sharing your wonderful photography! If I made you a 'contact' then it is because I enjoy your photostream. (I do not expect this to be reciprocated). However, I try to keep the numbers of my contacts 'low' enough so that I am still able to look at most uploads.

My "Aushtraya" travel photos:
Most of my photos have been made using film cameras and I post for family, friends, fellow travelers and, of course, anybody else who may be interested in looking at my photos. Many shots are therefore just holiday snapshots, record shots and definitely not of 'professional' standard. Sometimes I try to be ‘creative’, but it does not always work for me. The main reason I may list the camera model and the film I used is just for my own records - because I have collected too many cameras and sometimes forget which one I was using. They need to be used frequently, otherwise the mechanism may seize up.

A picture is a picture and I have come to the realization that it does not matter to me whether it was made using a film camera or a digital camera, or whether it has been enhanced or somehow 'fixed' in Photoshop. If it has appeal to me it has appeal to me, that's all. It just so happens that for my own photos I like using film, I like handling prints and, because I am a bit lazy, I leave them as they are, more or less straight out of a box that is called a 'camera'.

Scans:
Some scans are from prints, others are done through a dedicated film scanner. When the print looks better than what I see on the negative I scan the print because the lab technician does a better job than I am able to do.

UEBERSETZUNG:
*****************************************************************
