So I'm currently studying for a Ph.D in Physics at the University of Southampton in the UK. Photography however, for the last 5 years perhaps, has been a key outlet for me; a way to get away from it all, make new friends and see and capture the best places the countryside has to offer. Landscapes and Seascapes comprise about 95% of the photography I do, though I have been known to dabble in a bit of street photography, but I derive by far the most pleasure from landscapes.

I currently shoot the following digital kit:
Nikon D700, with a Nikon 24-70mm, 70-200mm VRII and 85mm F/1.4 AF-S.

I also shoot film, and have recently upgraded from Medium Format to a Shen Hao 5x4 Large Format field camera. I absolutely love film, both colour and B&W. It forces me to slow down and really consider the things I photograph; something I believe a considerable number of people should do in order to improve their work. If the scene doesn't work, for what ever reason, don't shoot it! Come back when the light is better, choose a different angle, be critical about what elements are in the viewfinder etc etc.

All the work shown here is my own, and is not available for external use, in any way, without my permission. Groups that promote meaningless banners and comment images etc will not be joined, and posts containing these group tag images will be deleted, so please do not post them. I very much appreciate comments and favorites, but please, write them yourself, don't just copy and paste a run of the mill tag or "group award" etc.
