Butterfly Psyche's photostream

In ancient Greek, "psyche" means both "butterfly" and "soul" - the lofty counterpart to the crawling caterpillar and the earthly body. Mind you, I like crawling caterpillars just fine.

Outdoor lover, nature rambler, backyard zoologist, now living in the big city. (Philadelphia, to be specific.) One husband, one cat, a fluctuating number of caterpillars, ladybugs, and other interesting invertebrates.

Enthusiastic amateur birdwatcher; I've seen over 60 species in the Philadelphia city limits. (They're there, you just have to look harder.) Former possessor of artistic talent now trying to get it back. (My pencils are considerably better than I am, but I'm trying to work up to their level.)

Editor by day and reader by night; I love my under-paying job. Life-long photographer of small and random things, just now starting to subject the rest of the world to it.
