INDelight Photography's photostream
|

I am not actively pursuing the photography business yet, but I am considering doing so as a retirement business in a few years. At least I have the basic structure setup even if perhaps I have jumped the gun a little. For the present, I am learning new things and getting my feet wet.
The name "INDelight" is a play on words in several respects. Firstly, My work is intended to be happy and fun- "Delightful." And what is photography except "light?"

Welcome to my photostream.
My work has been rated "safe" by Flickr staff. I have nothing in my stream, public or private, that would be inappropriate for children or viewing in the workplace.
By way of background, I was raised Baptist but recently converted to Roman Catholicism. I am very conservative politically.
I LOVE the water and playing around in it. This love for the water comes partly from my experience as a water rescue diver in my early twenties.
I have had a life-long interest in all things technical, especially electricity and electronics. From this comes my main vocation as a system technologist for Motorola Solutions, Inc.
I have been into photography for about 40 years, starting as a Jr High kid taking pictures for the school newspaper and yearbook with a piece of junk 35mm camera and a cheap home darkroom (B&W of course) . I was MUCH more into the technical aspects than the art.
Digital photography has created a great revival for me in the art. Now I can shoot lots of photos and pick out the best.
Because of this and the "instant gratification" of digital photography, I actually think I am learning how to better my average. ; )
My favorite subjects are kids, nature, and randomness.

For my Flickr favourites, I like photos that are unique in some way or otherwise actually "say" something to me.
I like crisp lines and bright colours and photos that I look at and say, "how did they do that?" I also like technical details and experimental techniques.
Here is a link to my most interesting as determined by the all-wise Flickr algorithm:

Effective 12-5-2011, for the most part, "kid" = "friends and family." Sorry, too many picture thefts.
I am open to new friends. if your favourites, photostream, groups and "the company you keep" are family friendly, mark me as a contact or friend and I will reciprocate in kind.
If you have no photos of your own or if your account is not family friendly, I will block you.
