  "Miah was the first person ever to bring an entire semi truck loaded with plastic bottles to our recycling center. She had been collecting these bottles for almost a year straight, dumpster diving and asking friends and winnings bags of them in fist fights at the local underground fight club. More impressive was her ability to steer the big rig with agility to our small facility. As she helped us unload the bags of bottles she explained to me she was hoping to raise around $4,000 to buy herself a new Nikon camera with a lens and flash to help further her photography. Sadly this would not happen because renting the truck, obtaining her Class A commercial drivers license and purchasing a qualifying Von Dutch truckers cap put her back about $6,000. But it wasn't all for nothing as this just fueled her passion more. I suggested that now she had the Class A license, she could get a job as a big-rig trucker and drive cross-country taking photos of all the obscure places she went. This excited her, but the concept of being a trucker momma disenchanted her, and I gave her the money for the bottles, she took her truck and left sullenly. It wasn't until 24 year later that I found she had pursued her passion for photography and really done well. I was disappointed however because I really was looking forward to meeting her at a truck stop somewhere in nebraska, with tats on her arm, and a runaway teenager as a co-poliot. oh well, we can always dream."
