A California Native, in 2004 I moved to a small cabin in the woodland hills of Southern Oregon. I instantly fell in love with the mystical mountains, streams, and forests. I noticed beautiful mushrooms growing everywhere and was always exploring in the woods. I started to become really interested in mushrooms and bought some field guides. It quickly became an obsession! When I was younger, I learned the basics with my Canon AE1 film camera. I used it to take photos of trees, flowers, and the woodland hills of the Sierra Nevada's. I bought my first DSLR camera a year after moving to Oregon to learn more about photography and to document mushrooms. Inspired by nature I taught myself how to use my camera and now have a passion for photography. I have led mushroom walks and have identified mushrooms for the Wild Mushroom Show which is held twice a year at the Northwest Nature Shop in Ashland, Or. I enjoy exploring the amazing, natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest.
