Unless otherwise noted all of my nature photos are taken in the wild.

Finding that often computer interaction with people is something not very comfortable for me, with relatively large possibility of misunderstandings. I have been trying to do my share of commenting and responding to comments on Flickr in a positive manner but now think it would be better for me to limit this greatly.

Wondering If it would be better for me to have separate Flickr sites for general photography and for lichens. (I would then find it easier to include many less aesthetically pleasing images of lichens.)

Knowing something about art doesn't impair one's appreciation of art. Knowing something about music doesn't impair ones appreciation of music. Knowing something about literature doesn't impair one's appreciation of literature. Knowing something about biology doesn't impair one's appreciation of birds and flowers. Knowing something about geology doesn't impair one's appreciation of mountains and glaciers. Knowing something about astronomy doesn't impair one's appreciation of the stars.
