My name is Suki Tam and I was born in Hong Kong. I just moved to Australia, Sydney for 6 years. I have done lots of art works when I was in Hong Kong and I am currently teaching Chinese painting in Australia. I studied painting, drawing, Chinese painting and calligraphy in Hong Kong and delights in introducing this special Chinese Art to Australians. My works have been awarded in many National Chinese painting competitions and published in book form.
Tamptation is the idea of giving little temptation of living. I used "tam" instead of "tem" because my TAM is my surname. I started making this website when I was in a low point of my life. It helps me to define myself again and this is something I can hold on to. This website is my life project. It's my soul. It's my dream. I am always passion with arts and design and it's my dream to design my own products. Most of my inspiration come from the culture shock between my country and Australia. Sometimes comes from my students, sometimes from the beautiful and brilliant designs in Australia. I love Australia but I will never forget where I belongs to. I want you to love your purchases just as much as I love making them.
All of the products you've seen in this website are designed and handmade by me. Cards are all hand printed. Bags and shirts are either hand printed or hand stamped. All the stamps are hand carved. All the items here are absolutely unique and none of the item is exactly the same as the others. I can 100% guarantee that you'll never find someone else is using the same thing.

In 2010, I have started a new business MIAO .

MIAO stands for "The Most Inspirational Art Objects". We are an online and offline platform for creative artists in Australia. MIAO offers online art portfolios, online shop set up, advertising campaigns, professional photography, consultation services and market exposure for local artists.

MIAO is created by Sydney based artists Suki and Diana who both have a strong passion for handmade crafts and designs. As artists ourselves, we understand how difficult it is to break through the big and competitive market. Therefore MIAO not only is aiming to help local artists to build up their brand but also to gain as much public exposure as possible.

Sometimes I don’t know it’s worth all the troubles and sometimes I just don’t know if i am good enough. I always want to learn the local artists because I know it’s hard to face everything by yourself. I know there’s a lot of works especially I work full time at the same time, but when I know all my hard works are helping some other good local artists. It’s all wroth it.”
