I thought it was about time I updated this box.....I think I've just paid for Pro for the second time and I haven't done anything here since I joined!

So, I am one of the thousands of people on Flickr who went to school, went to college, went to Uni and then worked. And now at thirty something, I think- humnn if I knew then what I knew now- I'd have taken photography instead of Textiles and Fashion........but I don't live with regrets- I have some fantastic skills because of the choices I made back then.

In an ideal world I'd like to work towards becoming a photographer. I completed a 365 in 2010 and learned its not all about the camera...sure an ability to switch it on helps but you need confidence and an eye for a story.
That is where I am at the moment. Working on the stories, watching the tutorials. I want to make people look twice- a second look at the surreal side.

I like people, I like ideas and colour and interactions. Its what makes the world a more interesting place and makes me want to document it.

"Helen is a credit to Flickr. Neither corny nor flakey she delights with her photostream. I always enjoy visiting her page (she's not bound by cliches or convention) and her street/candid shots are particularly ACE."

"Que dire de Cornflakes ; que son style s'amèliore de jour en jour et que l'achat de son nouvel appareil a vraiment tout changer . J'aime la série des " Bancs" je trouve cet exercice particulièrement intéréssantet puis c'est toujours rigolo de voir les gens pris en photo de manière "candide"
    Bonne continuation hélène

"Well first of all, I love Helen's Flickr name... it actually makes me smile a little bit every time I read 'Cornflake Couture'. I can't fully explain why -- is it the use of the double hard C? Is it the fact that I used to eat cornflakes and immediately, I get a visual of bright red and green colors? Speaking of color... that is one of the things that I like best about Cornflake Couture's photos, personal style and genuine friendly character :) I've also been liking her forays into street photography – I like seeing the characters and scenes and moments in time... and I like getting a taste of life in England. Hmmm... what else? Well, she is a wonderful contact and Flickr friend to have... and was even amazing enough to send me the perfect gift when I was having a bad day. Also, the stuff she designs is pretty fantastic... really, if I haven't convinced you to add her as a contact yet, than you just don't see the world the way I do ;)

    Hugs Cornflake..."
