The New York Times ran a piece on me today:

Reimagining What Washes Up

By FRANCIS X. CLINES

The Hudson River was as mean as usual this winter, roughing up the Manhattan shore and playing into the hands of Tom Loback, a sculptor...

Some prints of my pieces will be shown at Irondale Gallery in September:

I am an artist living in NYC. June and July of 2007 have been very gratifying as my work along the Hudson River has brought me a lot of recognition. Initially on June 7, 2007, Monica Morales of NBC TV News in New York ran a story with some film of some of my pieces wondering who did them because they wanted to do a story on the artist.

I contacted them but before we could film the followup story the a New York Times photographer, Joyce Dopkeen, spotted me doing a piece, she took pictures and a reporter, James Barron, did an interview which ran in the NY Times on June 21, 2007.

Monica Morales then did the NBC TV followup interview which ran on July 6, 2007 11pm news.

A couple years back in July 2005 a NY Times reporter, Anemona Hartocollis, did a whodunnit story on the Driftwood sculpture. She and I eventually met but no followup was done.
