pimpexposure's photostream |
pimp is dead.
His spirit lives on through pimpdisclosure (new stream).

* PROFILE UPDATE*
pimpexposure is not quite dead, he's just....hmmm... retired?
Every once in a blue moon I'll still post a jarring shot on this very stream which we from here on out will refer to as old school pimp.
But if you're looking for me, for all intents and purposes i'm usually associating with new pimp

AndYaDontStop says:
"Seriously? I can't stand this guy. All he does is talk about his fuckin' cock. I mean, really, who wants to hear all that shit? And his football team? The Eagles? Give me a break. They have never won a Superbowl! Wow. That really sucks when you think about it. Over 40 years of Superbowls and not one victory in the big game.
But honestly, that's him. Now his photography on the other hand? Fuckin' top notch. I mean, yeah, we have to check out his ugly mug and his bear rug chest once in awhile, but we can't always win i guess. When he's not shooting close ups of his nostrils though, dude is a serious fuckin' winner. His post-processing rocks and his love for his daughter is rivaled by nobody.
If only he'd post a picture and then shut up about it.
The photographer at hand?
Bad ass. Go fave all his shit."25th December, 2009

"Ryan is amazing. The end.
No.. no its not the end at all. I love Ryan. The combination of grittyness, reality and verbose delight that you find on this stream really warms the soul. The love he has for his daughters and his general perception of the world are an absolute treasure to witness and take part in. One day I'm going to visit Ryan, were going to hang out on the beach, take the most insanely complex face down shots known, and were going to get drunk. Very drunk. and get some more ink and stay up talking into the wee hours about everything, love you man!"20th November, 2009

"why do testimonials have to be all tear-jerking and sentimental like it's a tribute to someone who's passed on or something. i'll say that ryan is ALIVE and KICKIN' and PIMPIN' and simultaneously making some hot pictures and writings. he's also hilarious. peace."

"one of the best people on flickr, not only your photos are fucking amaaazing, but your attitude too, how sad does it sound when i say i actually look forward to your mini-waffles on each photo?
it's true thoughh you are an amazing artist/photographer. even if you dont think you are, it depends what you class as a photographer, is it someone who just takes photos? of any kind?
or does it have to be someone who has fancy equipment?
i think its just someone that produces amazing photographs.
and heeeeeelll you do.
so yeah, your stream is one of the best things on flickr. hands down.

"Ryan! My soul bother and guardian angel!
Hello dear stream browser! If you're reading this then you might be trying to decide if Ryan's stream is worth viewing. Well, before you start you should know a bit about him and his inspirations.
Ryan's formative years were spent in the company of a sheltered tribe at the head of the Amazon. There he learnt how to lie in wait for hours and hours without twitching a muscle. A useful skill when all your food has to be caught by hand. It was after catching 3 monkeys, a tapir and 17 juicy crickets this way that he was awarded his first tattoo. Since then he was, of course, awarded dozens of tattoos for his services to the tribe.
When after one day of particularly arduous lying down he returned to the village to find that loggers had destroyed it, he was forced to use his skill to survive alone. The first thing he did was to find the road the loggers drove on and lie down on it. He waited for days and then finally the loggers drove came along. When they stopped to move his body he used his finely honed warrior skills to despatch them and steal their car. That is when he first realised that lying in wait for traffic
was his ultimate skill!
As you look through his stream you will see many shots of Ryan showing off his lying down abilities for us. This is his way of drawing you into his world and escaping back to his childhood."22nd October, 2009

"Ryan is talented in so many ways its ridiculous. Not only do his photos tell a story all their own, but has this awesome story to go along with it. Ryan's views on life in general would make anyone think in a whole new light. Every new upload is a new inspiration... not only to me, but for most. He's one of my greatest flickr friends, and has the kindest comments to leave, and especially honest... which i love (=
Ryan, your kickass....
Love,
Elena"1st October, 2009

"Ryan is an extraordinary artist! His images are so full of power. life and emotions! Extremely talented and with an amazing eye for details, Ryan catches always the perfect moment for those great images! Not only he's very good looking, he's also a guy who treats other people with respect and knows how to talk and to comment! Even if he looks a little bit like a tough guy (well meant ;-) ), he's a person with a huge and kindly heart! I just love him!"

"ryan oh ryan. how can you not love this man?
his long epistel writings always make me loose my patience cause i always want to comment his pictures quick! but not reading his wise words would be an overall pitty.
he's a boy in a mens body. he's a child, an adult and a gorgeous dad at the same time.
and such a nice person!
talking about his art: his talent is improving every single day. the variety is fucking interesting, and he always manages to come out with an awesome picture, where other photographers definately would need the expensive equipment to get the same result!
this man rocks. i never miss a picture!

"Ryan is one of my favorite "finds" on flickr. Not only does he routinely turn out awe-inspiring shots, whether long exposure or odd body contortions, but he always includes a lengthy entry that has allowed us to take our understanding of what goes on in his head to an entirely different level. Sometimes he chokes me up with his words, sometimes he makes me snort laugh. Either way, he evokes emotion. Add this man as a contact today and thank me tomorrow."

Katie Morgason says:
"i dont know what person im suppose to write this in. am i writing it to you, ryan, or speaking to everyone else?
umm
ryan... ok yeah i can deal with that
ryan is awesome photographer, it sounds cliche but its true. he always writes something that makes me think, laugh, smile, get a confused look on my face, or if its with his daughter say "awwwww how sweet is that" his pictures are always so different and unique, expecially the way he processes them. he always takes the time to write something which is insanely cool. it makes his pictures so much cooler and more meaningful than if he would just put up a shot and leave it blank, but hey that might be cool too. he really is just a totally "rad" person, he also uses the best adjectives ever, and an amazing photographer."29th August, 2009

whidbychick says:
"It not very often that I actually write testimonials for people... and never of someone I have not know for that long... but what can I say... I love his work... his images and his writing.... it's gritty goodness.
Ryan has more natural raw talent in his hairy little pinky than most people do in there unhairy pinkies. He is one of the most amazing photographers/bloggers in this joint. And if I were some major bad ass talent scout I would pluck him from obscurity and put him to work for me until his soul dried up.... fortunately and unfortunately, I'm not... so this testimonial is all I have to offer."26th August, 2009

::big daddy k:: says:
"Ryan is the only Flickr friend that I have met in person so far. I got to say that his passion for photography, writing, his kids, and life is all as real as it comes across in his work. He didn't coin the term "suck my cock" but he definitely uses it a lot and he definitely sucks the cock of life...ummm...that didn't sound right.
I don't always agree with his writing (I have called him Bret Michaels, Tupac, Rush Limbaugh, Tom Cruise, and drew a penis out of notes on one of his photos) but i do love his passion, his effort, and conviction to put his thoughts out there for all to either agree or disagree with.
His photography is amazing and his locations and ideas are just insane. He has introduced me to new styles of processing that have greatly improved my photos and I am always excited to see what he is going to come up with next.
He is a true Flickr original and I am real happy to call him a friend."8th July, 2009

"Edgy, honest, raw, willing to bare his soul, the fiber of his emotions for the sake of what is true and genuine. I love your spirit, your creativity, how you accept yourself and your life, adore your girls, praise what is good and curse what isn't right, that you make no apologies for who you are and what you think. I love your stream of consciousness in your words and the creativity and originality of your images. You are one of my most favorite indulgences, like a rich piece of chocolate you know you shouldn't have but you can't resist...and I am so glad I found you. XO."

"I've only just recently come across Ryan's photographs, I'm not one for writing testimonials either but I was instantly grabbed by all the talent! I wish I had joined Flickr earlier and discovered his work before. The love he has for his children is so clear and so lovely to look at through his words and images. I love how he doesn't just take a picture, he writes an interesting description pretty much 100% of the time too - not that he would even need that anyway, his pictures ALL speak by themselves! Ryan really is an artist with his photographs and his words. I can't wait to see what he comes up with later in his 365!!

Every time I look through his photo stream I'm inspired to go out and take kick ass shots. You can tell how dedicated he is to his daughters and how much he loves what he's doing. He's a fantastic photographer and friend."
