Groups I admin.

I have used cameras all my working life as an archaeologist but I have never thought of them as anything other than a work tool. I never thought that having a good digital camera could be so life changing. I have learned so much about so many subjects, 'the doors' have been well and truly opened.
I am amazed at how many people from all over the world use flickr and enjoy this harmonious community in the pursuit of having a bit of fun and perfecting their photographic skills.
The flickr community has been and I hope will continue to be one of the most enjoyable ways of learning about the world and all the different cultures that inhabit it.
Thanks for visiting my photostream, it means a lot. A bit of a hint, feel free to leave a testimonial and help feed my growing ego.
UPDATE: On 9th December 2008 I was sent home on 3 months "gardening Leave' pending redundancy, a victim of the credit crunch.
On the 16th December 2008 our son Sam was born at 04:29 weighing 6lb 10oz, he is the best ever Christmas present.
If it was not for the credit crunch I would never have had this opportunity to see so much of Sam, every cloud does have a silver lining.
On 9th March 2009 I went into the world of childcare, 10-17year olds. I resigned this job because of childcare issues.....my child's care.
I started work on 16th August 2010 as a carer/rehab assistant working with brain injuries and the elderly.
Long story short. Daughter Isabella born 24th October 2010 two months premature, wife very ill with chronic pneumonia. Wife still suffers with chest discomfort after nerves damaged when had a VATS procedure.

"Kevin doesn't have any testimonials!
I couldn't believe it when I saw it.
Travesty no more!
Kevin and I have been sharing photos for just under a year. I relish his work's "sneak peaks" of publicly released photos. What a treat they are and what a fascinating profession he has. I can't imagine the experience of sifting through the remains and the lives that have remained undisturbed for so long...well mostly undisturbed. If you follow his stream, every now and then, you will receive fascinating glimpses into the past. His computer must be bulging with mind blowing images. Thank you for sharing what you can.
Apart from his digs, I've enjoyed seeing Kevin's tamed "leviathans", wild arachnids, family, co-workers, and friends. And in fact, as I recall, I think we may have met over a wild arachnid.
Flickr is an amazing collection of servers and software, but really, that's all it is without the photographers who are interested in networking and building friendships.
Thank-You again Kevin for your visits and kind comments....
I wish you the best and look forward to following your photos.
