I'm retired and living in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, USA. I like to be outdoors as much as possible - hiking, canoeing, biking, skiing and especially watching and photographing birds. My wife and I started birding when we moved to Colorado in 2004 and now all of our trips to visit family and friends include some birding component. We now take trips specifically for birding.
My birding photography is usually done by digiscoping. Currently (Mar 2010), I'm using a Zeiss Diascope FL 85 and a Sony DSC W300 with a SpiderTech camera adapter.
Some of the pictures posted here were taken by my wife, Tresa, with other cameras.
I spent the winters of 2008-09 & 2009-10 as a Ski Guide at the Steamboat Ski Area with Steamboat's Over the Hill Gang. Now I ski on my own schedule.
