Ich verdiene mit meinen Fotos fast kein Geld und nehme nur sehr selten an irgendwelchen Wettbewerben teil. Die Fotos 'ruhen' quasi auf meiner Festplatte. Und doch gibt es ein Gefühl, etwas erreicht zu haben.

Nun, ich fotografiere seit ca. zwei Jahren. Noch nicht sonderlich lange, aber schon so lange, um mir Gedanken darüber machen zu KÖNNEN, weshalb ich überhaupt dieses 'Hobby' ausübe.
Ich will diese Frage nun einfach aufgreifen, weil Fotografie mittlerweile sehr viel Platz in meinem Leben einnimmt. Es gibt nur noch sehr wenige Momente, bei denen ich NICHT an Fotografie (gleich, welcher Art) denke.

Fotografie ist, glaube ich, für mich viel mehr als "nur Hobby" oder "nur Spuren hinterlassen". Es hat auch nicht "nur" etwas mit Ausdruck zutun.
Es ist die Entdeckung der Kleinigkeiten, auf eine gewisse Weise auch eine Erweiterung der Sinne Fotografie ist eine Art der Kunst - und Kunst ist eine Art des Ausdrucks. So würde ich es definieren.


Aber Fotografie ist auch so viel mehr - zumindest für mich.

Hm, und vielleicht (eher ganz sicher) sieht man als kleiner Hobbyfotograf die Welt auch aus etwas anderen Augen. Ich fand das Bild einer sehr kleinen Spinne, die ich mit Hilfe eines 18-55+Retroadapter abgelichtet habe, sehr interessant, ja auch irgendwie witzig. Und es gab mir das Gefühl, das irgendetwas auf dieser Welt so ziemlich schief läuft, wenn man mal bedenkt, dass wir Menschen solchen Lebewesen oftmals keine Beachtung schenken...

Ich denke mir manchmal, wenn ich einen Sonnenauf-/untergang sehe, dass wir Menschen sehr blind durch die Welt gehen. Selbstverständlich bin ich immer noch sehr blind, aber ich würde behaupten, die Fotografie gab mir ein Stück des Augenlichts wieder zurück. Die Sonne gibt ihr Bestes, ihr Licht über ein Feld, über Bäume und über die weite Landschaft auszubreiten. Und bei manch einem Sonnenuntergang "kämpft" sie förmlich, ihre letzten Strahlen noch zu verteilen.

Aber für die meisten Menschen ist das alles normal. Wieso sollte man so etwas Natürliches wie einen Sonnenauf-/untergang beachten?

I am not earning any money with photography, i almost never attend in some competitions. My photos spent their time mostly on my external disk but in some way i got the feeling, i have reached a bit success.

Well, since two years i do photographing, its not that much time but enough time to know why i chose this way and why i am carrying on.To centre this, photography has taken an big part of my life and there are just few moments where i am not thinking at it.

photography is more than a avocation or leaving some traces.its not only about expression its also to explore the small detail and amplify the senses. Photography is an form of art - and art is an form of expression. Thats how i define it.

Photography is even more than this, at least for myself.

Maybe, or i am quite sure that, we see the world with differnt eyes even as an hobby photographer. I found it very interesting and somehow funny when i mugged a photo from an spider with my 18-55 lens plus retro-adapter. In the same time i got the feeling that something is going quite wrong in this world if you consider that humans almost never give any attention to those creatures.

Sometimes i remember, when my eyes catch an sunset or sunrise, that we human walk blindly trough the world. As a matter of course i am still blind but i would assert that photography gave me back some piece of eyesight. The sun spreads the light across the fields, the trees and the landscapes and ceremonial it looks like the sun bears the last rays on every sunset.

But for most of us this is just usual. Cause why should we attend to something so ordinary an natural like a sunset?

Thats what i think.
