"One day last April I was doodling through Flickr in the usual way when I fell on the most astonishing picture. A naked woman with a string of Christmas tree lights draped about her spectacular torso jumped off the screen. That was my introduction to Blaise K. I think I was the first to view that picture (I was definitely the first to comment) but literally thousands of Flickrites have followed in my wake (look at her uploads for April 27th 2005, and you'll understand the rush).
I kept a close eye on Blaise after that, and she turned out to be full of surprises. Of course I wondered if I'd find any more daring self-portraits (OK, I mean flesh), but there was much more to her than that.
She has a great eye for satire, incongruity, light, pattern and movement. She is bold, witty and modern, especially when it comes to sex. And it's all on display in her stream.
Sure, you'll find a couple more dazzling self-portraits. But check out her clever and interesting sets like Sky Candy and Nobody Here. Marvel at her documentary work in Firecracker Suite. And don't miss her dangerously seductive blog.
