I get asked a lot about what kind of camera I use to get my photos at such quality. I really like the quote "The single most important component
of a camera is the twelve inches behind it." - Ansel Adams

However, for those who are still curious...
-Canon 450D / Rebel XSi (My First ever DSLR, obtained October 2008!)
-18-55mm Kit Lens
-28mm F2.8 Wide Angle Lens
-50mm F1.8 Prime
-70-200mm F4 L Lens. (My all time favorite right now!)
420Ex II Flash, Cactus V2 Triggers.
Manfrotto ProB Tripod W/ Ballhead.
Spare batteries, various filters, cleaning kits, remotes, adapters etc.
-Minolta XG-1 35mm Film Body
-70-300mm Manual Focus Minolta Lens
-28-105mm Close up / Zoom Lens Minolta
A National Geographic Camera Bag & a Blacks Backpack which hold all my gear, and my field Netbook.

All Photo Editing is done on a custom build Quad Core, 4Gb Ram, Ati 4670 etc. Through Photoshop CS3 & Lightroom 2. (Nik Color Efex, Noise Ninja, And various Action Packs.)

Went Pro on December 27th, 2008.

FAQs:
When did you get into Photography?
My interest in Photography sparked back in June 2008, as I sat in my window with my 5mp point-and-shoot trying to get a photo of lightning! And with some amazing luck, I actually got 1 shot, of a very small bolt in the sky!
I Still Have That Photo!
From then I was hooked, I got a Canon Powershot S5 IS in July, and also got into Flickr then when I found a friend (Jenn) who was using the same camera as me! In October 2008, I got my first DSLR! I've been using it ever since!

What do you like to shoot the most?
My favorite subject to shoot right now is Wildlife, although I am getting more and more into other subjects such as portrait! I enjoy sitting, and waiting patiently for that perfect moment!

What programs do you use to post-process your images?
As said above, I currently use Photoshop CS3 & Lightroom 2, with various plug-ins. The reason I haven't upgraded to CS4 is I find CS3 to work perfectly for my right now, and I would have to transfer a lot of plug-ins, brushes and other various add-ons over, which could be quite the pain! So for now I stick to what I know!

Write me a testimonial on your thoughts on my work! I'd love the write you one back!

I also do some very small Videography

Thanks for stopping by!

    "Spencer,
What to say. You are extremely talented. Your self portraits are always so soft and just beautiful. Your animal shots are precisely focused and perfectly composed and colored. You shall definitely one day be working for National Geographic if you keep this up. I love visiting your stream everyday you have something new up. You are quite the inspiration.
