I have been taking "snapshots" my whole life starting with my parent's old bellows 620 Camera, then with the same Kodak 110 instamatic that everyone had back in the 70's. I took photography in high school using a provided 35mm, but never had one of my own. As a kid, I fantasized about being a National Geographic wildlife photographer. (Later it was a Time-Life photojournalist)

In the 90's I inherited an Olympus OM Program film camera with a bag full of lenses and started becoming a little more serious (but I was too busy to be VERY serious) . Eventually I realized I needed autofocus and decided that if was upgrading anyway, I'd just go digital.

I am currently using a Canon Digital Rebel XTi with a 28-135 IS Zoom as my primary lens.

I have taken about 10,000 images with my Rebel and hope to get more uploaded. I am never satisfied with my images and just when I think I'm done with one, I see something else wrong with it that I want to change or fix. But I'm getting better at having a picture be good straight out of the camera and I am getting excited about areas of photography I never thought I would (like studio portraiture)

I usually visit the photostream of anyone who leaves comments on mine or "favorites" one of my images. So please look around and let me know what you think, and I'll do the same for you.
