Bill Casola -- trying to catch up ...'s photostream

I have been taking photos since I was in grade school. I am working on improving my technique as well as acquiring new skills in Photoshop.

I am interested in the breadth of photography, but work within time constraints with the subjects available, as I have a day job. I love spending time in my backyard and at the beach in North Carolina. I look forward to spending time in the future with friends in Utah, Wyoming, and Colorado to capture images digitally, hopefully with better technique and results than my film images from years as a cash-poor college student. Digitizing my film images from that period will have to wait for the time being.

I particularly like landscapes and nature photography, but also dabble in macros and long exposure night photography.

I have also spent a lot of time on youth and high school sports and found wrestling to be an exciting subject. Professional photographers I have met locally who have covered the Olympics have told me they preferred wrestling over other sports because of the range of action, complex moves, and the inherent drama.
