Moved to Toronto in the late 80's, been living here ever since. Started taking pictures when i was about 12 with my dad's old Ansco folding camera. There have been periods when my camera slept on a shelf for a year or two, but I always come back to it.

In the last 3-4 years I've focussed a lot of energy on developing my "eye" and have finally plunged headfirst into digital after years of shooting 35mm. I haven't completely abandoned film and have a small collection of film cameras that I use semi regularly.

One side-effect of the immanent collapse of the older film technology (I will mourn its passing) is that there is lots of high end film equipment on the market at great prices. I now find that I can afford a decent medium format system (Bronica ETR) and have been experimenting with that.

My photographic interests are varied, but i tend to concentrate on street shooting with forays into landscape and architecture - all mainly in black and white.
