somewhat new to photography... still looking for my vision, still finding my style. {the "bla, bla, bla" version is below}

just an amateur out here... but i'm bound and determined to learn more every day. i like {and hope} to be artistic with my photography. that is what photography is to me -- more so than just a form of record or documentation.


i'm somewhat new to photography. but i realized just today that i've been taking photographs all my life. not with a camera, but with my mind. i've always sought beauty with my eyes or looked for the interesting in my surroundings -- often locking my eyes on something, capturing it with my mind. now i try to capture those things with a camera, too.

i don't always achieve this goal, but i try to take pictures every day. i don't care where i am. there's no place not worthy of being photographed.

i have my sister and my brother to thank for being my initial inspiration. i have countless gifted photographers that i have discovered online to thank for being my added inspiration. i can't get enough of this photography thing!

i use flickr as a means to organize my photography and have it accessible for my blogs. i also enjoy it as a community for photography and inspiration and learning. i don't use it as a means to show off... i'm just still learning, and even somewhat embarrassed by some of the things i upload. but i'm just learning and experimenting, and this is a place for me to put that progression.

i shoot with a canon s5. i also have a nikon d40... given to me by my sister. i still need to learn how to use it, though.
