I came to nature photography from a love of nature, especially birds. It was quite difficult for me to obtain any action images with the point and shoot camera I purchased in 1999, and I purchased a Canon D-SLR in 2006. I am delighted that the camera enables me to capture an instant of beauty and segue from visualization to an image that can be shared with others! I am an active member of PSA, the Photographic Society of America, as well as a member of North American Nature Photography Association and a couple of environment-focused groups here in the United States.
