In my spare time I'm a community activist. My cause? Working towards reverting Moscow, Idaho to it's original name - Hog Heaven.

The town was originally named Hog Heaven because of the abundance of camas growing in the surrounding prairie. The settlers (actually invaders, but that's a whole other issue) would graze their pigs on the tasty and nutritious bulbs of the plant.

Unlike today's industrial factory-raised swine, those fortunate animals were able to breath clean air, root up delicious fresh food, nap in the shade and play in the sun - it was truly a hog heaven. Well, except the slaughtering part.

I've made many friends in high places of city government over the years, and am confident of our eventual success.
