I am a former journalist who now works as a media and political consultant. For 10 years I worked as a columnist, editor and publisher in several Mississippi and Alabama publications.

I am the former communications director for the Mississippi Democratic Party. I also served as executive director of the Democratic caucuses in the Mississippi House and Senate.

I'm married to the former Tara Lanae Harper. We have two children, Joshua Landon and Jacqueline Ella, and three animals. Our cats are Hemingway and Huey. Our beloved dog is Rosie.
