First of all, I want to thank you and everyone who has viewed my photos, posted comments, added photos as favorites, etc. I appreciate your feedback.

I am an amateur photographer living near Fresno, CA in the San Joaquin Valley and a short drive from the beautiful Sierra Nevadas. Most of my photographs are of nature; I love the great outdoors. I like to go hiking, camping, skiing, etc in the local Sierras, plus I am a fairly avid backpacker, so a lot of the pictures here are from my backpacking trips as well as short day trips to the mountains. But of course my collection of photographs is not limited to the mountains. I do have some photos of sunsets, storms, my travels, school projects, etc. I'm not using flickr to show you just the best of my work, actually I mainly just want to share with you some of my experiences, so here you will find both snapshots I have taken during my travels as well as some more "artistic" photographs.

Right now most of the pictures were taken with my parents point-and-shoot digital camera and there are a few from film cameras and disposable cameras. I am trying to save up for a nice DSLR so I have more flexibility with the photos I want take. I did however I did just get a digital camera of my own in April of 2007 (Canon PowerShoot A570 IS), so pictures taken since then are probably taken with that.
