I've been taking photographs for many years, but until 3 years ago I used an SLR and shot mostly slide film. Currently I'm using a very simple Kodak digital camera and enjoying the flexibility, but missing all those lenses I had with the SLR. On my recent trip to Hungary and Transylvania however it was wonderfully easy to carry that little Kodak along, never having to change film, only chips.

I hope to be able to digitize many of my slide collections in the next year. I have traveled extensively in Europe and the US, was a Peace Corps volunteer in Africa, and have done some nature photography, mostly in southeastern Michigan.

Update: I've begun to digitize some of my slide collections, starting with a Scandinavian trip in May 1999. It is wonderful to vicariously relive this trip through the rather tedious processing.
Update 1/25/10: Finished digitizing and processing the 1999 Scandinavian trip, but still need to upload the last group to Flickr. Finished digitizing the Peace Corps slides, but much processing remains. I'll be putting those up a few at a time.
Update 3/30/10: Have put up some Peace Corps photos.
