I was 'born and raised' in West Virginia - the state I dearly love ... (and to a lesser extent in Virginia and Maryland). I am married to a beautiful, 'almost-perfect' woman who is the love of my life (for over forty-four years now). We have two wonderful daughters and three equally wonderful grandkids (ages 12, 3 and 1). Grandkids make the circle complete.

I've lived in West Virginia, Virginia, Maryland, South Carolina, Texas and Saudi Arabia; and have travelled to many other states and countries as shown on the maps below. I enjoy photography - which goes very well with my love for visiting places I've not been to before. Unfortunately, though I've taken lots of 'film' pictures (mostly snapshots) through the years, I just got into digital photography a couple of years ago.

Sure wish I'd been a better photographer when I was travelling extensively! Such is life ... it's always easy to look back with some disappointments, but I'm blessed and have nothing to grouse about. Like selecting a camera, life is filled with compromises.

By the way, I'm mostly color blind. So, don't be surprised to see some weird colors (along with numerous other detractions) in my photostream!
