I have been taking photographs for 40 years now. Initially, these were of railway subjects, supporting my hobby, but have widened to such an extent that I will take pictures of almost anything now. In particular, I have become very interested in documenting a disappearing Britain; shops, pubs, postboxes, old signs, the traditional sea-side, the decline of industry and so on. So much has changed in such a short time.

I have been working with photography in some form or other since 1972 and have been self-employed since 1982.

Married since 1981, we have four grown up children, all of whom enjoy photography to some extent. Indeed, my wife and youngest son went digital before me!
