4th generation Florida native. My maternal side of the family came down from Quaker/Pennsylvania Dutch stock around the time of the recent unpleasantness brought on by the war of Northern aggression.
The paternal side of my family are mostly crackers and southerns; farmers, road and bridge builders along the Mississippi, with a distant link to a New England Senator of ill-repute of long ago.
Currently, I am enjoying life in Six-Toe County, Florida, so named for the prevalence of folks sporting six toes per foot. Probably a result of the high rate of in-breeding out here in the sticks. www.flickr.com/photos/hopsmaltyeast/59150646/
The mayor of Six-Toe City has the best house in the county - a double-wide trailer.
I have only 5 toes per foot, I swear.
